History of the Windhoek Moto-Cross Club

Founded by Erhard Pajewski in the early 1970s, the Windhoek Moto-Cross Club started as a social gathering for motocross enthusiasts. It became an official entity around 1977-1978, beginning organized events and competitions in Windhoek. The club has operated tracks at various locations: behind the Van Eck Power Station, at Farm Hoffnung, and near the Western Bypass. As the sport evolved, it transitioned from AA Namibia to the NMSF, leading to new tracks at Tony Rust and Elisenheim. The club eventually settled at Gallina Motocross Park in Brakwater, featuring modern amenities. After a brief standstill in 2010, the sport revived in 2013, and by 2014, the club was re-established and affiliated with the Namibian Enduro Club.

Today, Gallina Motocross Park continues to serve as Windhoek’s premier venue for motocross events, thanks in large part to the support of the Waldschmidt family. From its humble beginnings, the Windhoek Moto-Cross Club has become a cornerstone of Namibian motocross, fostering a vibrant community of enthusiasts and athletes.

our objective

The objective of Gallina Motocross Park in Namibia is to create a premier motocross facility that promotes the sport at both social and competitive levels. Our aim is to foster a vibrant motocross community by collaborating with other organisations, hosting regional and international events, and providing a safe and exhilarating environment for riders of all ages and skill levels. Additionally, we are dedicated to supporting the welfare of our members and advancing the sport through sustainable practices.
